When I was young I always saw things I thought would make great pictures. I dreamed of being able to capture these views and share them to the world. It wasn't until I was older that I finally bought myself a camera and started on my dreams. Once I began to take photographs, my eyes were opened and I had a fresh outlook on the world. I found myself chasing sunsets, searching for wildlife, travelling all over looking for those once in a lifetime shots. It wasn't too long after that that I had friends and family asking if I took portraits. I hadn't, but I figured why not. I was so excited that people were willing to pay me for work that I loved to do.
10 years later, I'm still loving it! So what keeps me passionate about photography? To me it's all about capturing the human connection; to display to the world what really makes us all so unique. The dynamic of a new family having their first portraits taken, a dad making his kids laugh while mom rolls her eyes in embarrassment. Of a new mother to be, so radiant and glowing with the anticipation of getting to meet her little one shortly. An engaged couple delighted in each others company, full of energy and excitement for their upcoming wedding day. These are the moments that I adore, the moments that give my time behind the camera meaning and joy. I am honored to be the one that is chosen to capture each of my client's unique stories. In the last 10 years of my photography career I have met so many wonderful people, built lasting relationships, and even some close friendships.
“It’s one thing to take a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.”
